*Obviously there are Entrance exams to get into an UG Course if you are opting for Medical or Engineering . Also many reputed B.A , B.sc College,Universities have their own Entrance exams. But these year the situation is quite different. Due to Covid conditions many colleges have cancelled their Entrance exams and are taking admission based on the 12th Boards marks or January JEE-MAINS examination. For example VITEEE , SRMJEE is cancelled due to covid and admission will on 12th grades. BITSAT and JEE-MAINS is postponed.

Admission for BFA course in Andhra University is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam. So, admission is merit based and not entrance based.

The eligibility criteria for the course are :-

The candidate must pass 10+2 level from a recognised board.

Or the candidate must pass equivalent 10+3 diploma course.

You haven't mentioned the name of exam you are talking about. However it must have been mentioned the eligibility criteria of the examination. If minimum eligibility is to pass highschool and not the diploma, then I think you can definitely appear in it. But if minimum eligibility is diploma, then only person having diploma can appear.
