Jawaharlal Nehru University will release the JNU 2020 eligibility criteria along with the admission notification on March 2 in online mode at nta.jnu.nic.in.
However for the last year the eligibility criteria was -
1) Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination with minimum of45% marks. The candidates who are due to appear in Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination are eligible to apply.
2) minimum age 17 years.
So as of now we cannot say if you are eligible or not. Wait till jnu declare its eligibility criteria. If you met the required criteria of percentage of marks and age you can take admission to jnu.

Syllabus for MA French in JNU is as follows:
The entrance test will be conducted in French. The syllabus comprises of questions related to French & Francophone literature, history, civilization and culture of France and Francophone countries, linguistics and language, translation and didactics of teaching a foreign language . Further there will be evaluation based on translation skills both in English and French through translation of passages to and from both these languages.For those who qualify written test, they'll have a viva voce examination. The written test has 80% and the oral 20% weightage.

In order to pursue MA in French Language through distance mode candidate must have completed the Bachelors degree program in any stream from recognized University. Beside this one must have acquired the basic knowledge in the respective language equivalent to at least a two year diploma level course. Otherwise one must have studied the language as an elective subject or as second language in the Bachelors program.
There are some Universities which do provide MA in French program through distance mode. Following are the list of some of the well recognized Universities:

The Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages [CIEFL], Hyderabad
Bangalore University
Mumbai University.

The entrance exam for French translator course at Mumbai University or any other differ from one another. Some colleges/universities consider 12th marks or graduation marks for giving admission.
The format or section of entrance exam includes general knowledge, artificial language, short essays on issues related to subject etc.

The questions will be asked from the sections:
Section I - Questions based on Foreign Language (Arabic, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish) (36 marks)
Section II - General Knowledge (30 marks)
Section III - Logical reasoning (9 marks)
Section IV - English language (25 marks)
Here are some preparation tips you can follow given below for EFLU Entrance Exam.
Go through the exam pattern carefully and jot down the important topics/areas of assessment in the test. Read up sufficient material on them and practice them on a regular basis.
Make a time-table where all the topics of study are effectively accommodated. Candidates are advised to consistently follow the timetable and achieve the goals or tasks assigned on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Discover your weak areas and work on them by shifting a major amount of focus on these topics and practicing them regularly.
