piyush singh 7th May, 2022

Hello Aspirant ,

Failing JEE is not the end of the life as you still have so many options left for you but you will have to decide which option suits you well and if you really want to do that .

Some of the best options you still have are :

  • Re-attempt JEE  next year : if you think you can imporve your score in the next year and you can prepare and dedicate one more year to this exam you should re attempt JEE(please check if you qualify the eligibility criteria)
  • Attempt other engineering entrance exams like BITSAT ,state entrance exam ,etc .
  • Join a private college :There are many private colleges which you can think joining .

etc .

Hope this helps.

Can bio student can do genetic engineering without having maths as major subject in 12th std

Student 6th Jun, 2022

Hi there! In response to your query if you are planning to go for genetic engineering; the engineering sciences do require a prior knowledge of mathematics hence it would render you ineligible for the above course. However there are some institutes which do bridge courses for the students to make them eligible for their courses but that would increase the duration of the courses. So it would really depend on your personal preference then.

Hope this answer helps; best wishes

which is research oriented bsc gentics Or b tech genetic engineering

Arhana Chakraborty 22nd Mar, 2022

See the research can be done in both the fields. If you want to do research in Applied Genetics i.e., how the knowledge acquired from Genetical Science can be used for the goodness of humankind then going for the BTech course will be a good choice & after BTech you can join MTech or PhD as well.

Now if you want to do research in the core Genetics i.e., you want to develop experimental and theoretical explanations of different phenomenon in Genetics, then going for the BSc Genetics is a great choice. After BSc Genetics you can join Integrated PhD or Msc in Genetics.

Now its your choice which field interests you select it & pursue it.
