Good Luck!
HI Aspirant,
There are some countries where culture of genetic engineering is quite good.Switzerland, the USA, England and Scotland are few countries best for genetic engineering. However some best colleges in genetic engineering are:
Hope it helps!!
Hello,
will have plenty of relevant experience in is an academic job, such as university lecturer or researcher. Now minimum qualification get a job as professor in college is Phd. candidate must complete a Bachelor’s degree in Science with specialization in Biophysics/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics or B.tech in genetic engineering . After attaining the relevant Bachelor’s degree, the candidates can either go for M.Sc in any of the above subjects or M.Tech or Master’s degree in Genetic Engineering. Obtaining an M.Tech degree will not be enough for the position of researcher or scientists. Therefore, a Ph.D in the respective field is mandatory.
Hello aspirant,
Genetic Engineering is that field which is related to genes & DNA. Genetic engineering is used by scientists to improve or modify the traits of an individual organism .
yes it has a good scope.
After pursuing courses in genetic engineering , you can work in medical and pharmaceutical industries, research and development departments, agricultural sector, genetic engineering firms, chemical companies, etc. ... With the increasing number of biotech firms in India, the future scope in genetic engineering is good.
Hope this helps you
All the best for your future
Genetics is a wide field and it has applicability in cancer research, assessing newborn defects, Nutrigenomics, DNA sample analysis, etc. After pursuing courses in genetic engineering, you can work in medical and pharmaceutical industries, research and development departments, agricultural sector, genetic engineering firms, chemical companies so on With the increasing number of biotech firms in India. The average starting salary of a Genetic Engineer in India is expected to be Rs 3.00 Lakhs per Annum. The pay scale increases with years of experience and skills.
Hey,
You have mentioned about Manipal University so I m answering by thinking that you are referring to the main branch. The Manipal University is one of the best private university for students to shape their career with immense knowledge.
So yes Manipal is far better than SRM University.
As far as the course is concerned both the subjects are quite similar and will make you eligible for biomedical and tech related career. So it should be you deciding as per your interest.
Only difference is that Bsc Biotech is a three year degree u like Genetic Engineering being a four year.
Hope that helps.
Thank you
Both of the fields are pretty good to pursue as a career. The only difference being the time duration for these courses that makes it a bit different in terms of placement.
Bsc Degree in India as we all know don't offer much placement yo students and even if they do they don't get high placement package. On the other hand B-Tech degree has more package to offer as it has more informative and practical curriculum.
Both the colleges are almost same. So decide accordingly which field you want to go for in terms of your expectations from life.
Hello Dear,
Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is one of the most common entrance examinations for admission into various engineering courses all over India. This is a national level examination, and students can opt for it after completing their 10+2 education. Some of the college which offers Genetic Engineering are below:
hi,
see the both of the institute you have mentioned is excellent in terms of infrastructure, placement , faculty students ration, industry collaboration and so on. but the courses are bit different, first of all you have to understand the difference of course structure of genetic engineering and biotechnology. Biotechnology is a field of modern biology or life science that uses biological organisms and biological systems to create r new organisms or useful products. Modern biotechnology includes the tools of genetic engineering, genetic engineering is essential part of biotechnology, but for research or job trends biotechnology has better scope then genetic engineering.
so I would prefer for integrated biotechnology course in vit university.
Hello Student,
BSc biotechnology e in Amrita University is a good three years long undergraduate degree course. The course fee is about 4lakhs.You should have minimum 60% marks in PCB group to have a chance to get admission in this college. But there is no search placement records on their site. You can go to the link below to know more

In the other hand BTech in geneticengineering is one of the popular and demanding four years long undergraduate professional degree course. One of the best institutes to have B tech genetic engineering is SRM. This course is more professional ized and even you can get placement from the college also. So if you get a chance and like this course you can go for this. Go to their official website to have a better knowledge
