did IIT provide course genetic engineering???

No any it does not provide genetic engineering course to the students. However, there are other Institutions which provide 4 year duration Bachelor of Technology course in India:

  • SRM Engineering College
  • SRM Institute of Science and Technology
  • Sharda University
  • Bharath University

Hello aspirant !

Bachelor of technology in Genetic engineering is an undergraduate course in genetics. Genetic engineering includes the genetic modification techniques used to achieve the desired characteristic in one living organism. The composition of DNA is altered by either insertion of the gene of desired characteristics that is artificially prepared or obtained from other living organisms.

The minimum eligibility criteria is that the candidate should have passed 12th with PCB  or PCM or equivalent with more than 50% of the marks.Some of the entrance exams for admission are JEE Mains,UPSEE.The admission process occurs through National/State-level entrance exams or University specific entrance tests.The average course fee ranges from 1.5 lakhs to 2 lakhs.

A bachelor's degree in genetic engineering (B.Tech.) is a four-year programme. A class XII certification from a recognised educational board is the primary requirement of eligibility that must be met in order to pursue the course.

Depending on the institute delivering the course, the typical course price in India ranges between INR 2 and 10 Lacs. The course is divided into eight semesters, each of which lasts six months, with an external examination, both theoretical and practical, held at the end of each semester.

I have applied to phase 2 srmjee 2021 with my preferences for biotechnology and genetic engineering, would I be writing a pcm or pcb exam or would I be able to choose the exam I wanna write somewhere?

Hello,

Candidates who wish to get admission to Bio-Technology, Bio-Technology with Genetic Engineering must attempt questions from Biology section instead of Mathematics session. The exam patter is as follows

There will be 4 sections: Physics, Maths/Biology, Chemistry, English and Aptitude. The duration of the exam is Two hours and thirty minutes. The total number of questions are 125. The section-wise total number of questions are as follows

  • Physics: 35
  • Maths/Bio-Technology: 40
  • Chemistry: 35
  • English: 5
  • Aptitude: 10

Each question carries one mark there is no negative marking.

You have to attempt the questions from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude while taking the exam to get admission to Bio-Technology with Genetic Engineering.

a triple major r mean three subjects towards one degree or three different subjects towards three different majors or degree. however this is not applicable for you. since you have done b.tech in genetic engineering stream only. the eligibility criteria for m.tech in cse with specialization of artificial intelligence and machine learning is candidates must complete B.E/ B.Tech Degree in any Branch / MCA or any other equivalent degree.

Hello,

will have plenty of relevant experience in is an academic job, such as university lecturer or researcher. Now minimum qualification get a job as professor in college is Phd. candidate must complete a Bachelor’s degree in Science with specialization in Biophysics/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics or B.tech in genetic engineering . After attaining the relevant Bachelor’s degree, the candidates can either go for M.Sc in any of the above subjects or M.Tech or Master’s degree in Genetic Engineering. Obtaining an M.Tech degree will not be enough for the position of researcher or scientists. Therefore, a Ph.D in the respective field is mandatory.
