Is BCA math harder to learn ..

Arshiya 17th Jun, 2021
Hello Aspirant,

BCA includes some basic concepts in quantitative analysis that we have already studied in classes 8th - 10th, the level of questions is not that high.

Syllabus for quantitative analysis (maths) is :

  • Data interpretations
  • Data Sufficiency
  • Profit, Loss and Discount
  • Percentage
  • Partnership
  • Pipes and Cisterns
  • Time and Work
  • Time, Speed and Distance
  • Ratio and proportion
  • Age
  • Averages
  • Alligation and Mixture
  • Circular Track & Upstream-downstream
  • Compound interest
  • Relative speed
  • Simple Intrest
  • Angles, lines
  • Properties of Circles
  • Area and Volume of 2D and 3D figures
  • BODMAS/Simplification
  • Quadratic equations
  • Number System
  • Probability
  • LCM and HCF
  • Permutation and Combination
  • Height and Distance
  • Logarithm
  • Linear Equation
  • indices
  • Arithmatic and Geometric Progression
  • Set Theory & Venn Diagram
  • Geometry and Mensuration
  • Properties of Quadrilaterals
  • Properties of Triangles

Except for 2-3 topics, think all other topics you can cover easily if you stay determined and work hard.

My suggestion would be to study the topics from your school book pr maybe YouTube. When you've revised the basics of the topics then buy a previous years samole papers book with answers and practise that.

Now , please keep in mind that some other university may have some changes in the syllabus of exam, it may not be same for every university in India. So check the syllabus carefully for the university you want to apply.

All the best!
