Hi Raaika
Pune University entrance exam is extremely simple if you are clear on your basics.
If there are just 15–30 days for your exam, it's time to work smart. So instead of giving you the entire syllabus (which is available on the website), I will just list out the topics that will make an appearance in the exam for sure.
Focus specifically on the following topics-
These four from Lehninger, any edition.
Igenetics by Russell, Peter explains these in an easy way. Solve the problems at the back of each chapter.
Kuby should be your guide for this
Ananthnarayan - any edition
Refer to Microbiology by Tortora for this
Cover these topics and you shall pass the exam with flying colors. Make sure you are calm and focused while writing the exam, as a chaotic mind can make a lot of careless mistakes.
Hope it helps :)
MSc Microbiology and Virology both the courses are good and have great scope in near future. It's difficult to differentiate them. Nowadays, Virology is one of the most demanded courses among students. After completing MSc Virology, you can work as Virologist, Research Analyst etc. The recruiting areas are almost same for Microbiology and Virology. Hospitals, Research Centers, Laboratories, Healthcare Units are the top recruiters for both Microbiologist and Virologist. But always choose a course based on your interest.
