Both courses have good scope based on the job opportunities.

If you consider M.Sc Medical Microbiology, you can go for research institutes based on the medically important bacterial and other microbial population related work. If you select the M.Sc in MLT you can go for hospitals for mainly diagnosis work.

The route to M.Sc. Microbiology course is through entrance exam.

M.Sc. Applied Microbiologyis a 2 year post graduate microbiology course. The basic eligibility criteria for this course is that the candidate must possess B.Sc. if you pursue msc medicval microbiology, your wo0rk will be in a hospital only with stiff life and also having other MBBS and MD competitors ie students inters doctors everyone.

If you have done normal general msc microbiology, choice remains with you whether you want to work in a hospital or not. The other option with you then are food industry, dairy industry , etc you can also go in the teaching field.
