National Eligibility cum Entrance Test
At 9,500 rank in NEET PG under General Category, getting core clinicals like MD General Medicine, Pediatrics, or Radiology in Delhi’s top institutes (AIIMS, MAMC, LHMC, UCMS, VMMC) is very unlikely, as their cutoffs usually close within the top 2–4k ranks. However, you still have chances for non-clinical branches like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and sometimes Forensic Medicine in government colleges, or you may get para-clinical/less competitive branches in private/deemed colleges in Delhi NCR.
With a NEET PG score of 100–110, it’s nearly impossible to secure Diploma in Anaesthesia in government or reputed private colleges since even diploma courses close at higher scores. However, some lower-tier deemed/private medical colleges with higher fee structures and vacant seats in the mop-up or stray vacancy rounds may offer admission depending on seat availability. You should keep an eye on deemed universities in states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra, where private colleges sometimes take very low scores for diploma seats in the last rounds.
With an All India NEET PG 2025 rank of 48,335, the chances of getting MD General Medicine are almost nil in government or top deemed/private colleges since this branch usually closes within the first 10–15k ranks (sometimes up to 20–25k in lower-demand states or high-fee private colleges). At your rank, you may have better chances in non-clinical branches (like Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology) or some less competitive clinical diplomas. Medicine won’t be possible at this rank.

Hello Hariharan
With a rank of 76553 in NEET PG, your chances of getting a PG seat in a government college are very low because the cutoff ranks for unreserved category goes to 40,000 to 50,000 at max.
Still, you can try for these departments if the cutoff goes extremely low:
1. Anatomy 2. Physiology 3. Biochemistry 4. Microbiology 5. Pharmacology 6. Forensic Medicine 7. Community Medicine
You have better chances at private or deemed universities at your rank.
Thank You!!!
With an All India Rank (AIR) of 46,000 in NEET PG 2025 and belonging to the SC category, your daughter has a chance to secure a seat, but General Surgery in government colleges under All India Quota (AIQ) at this rank is quite difficult.
General Surgery in government colleges usually closes for SC category around AIR 15,000–25,000 (varies by state and year).
At AIR 46,000 (SC), she may still get Diploma courses (Anesthesia, ENT, Ophthalmology), or MD/MS in Pre/Para-clinical branches (like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Forensic, Microbiology, Pharmacology).
Chances for General Surgery are better under State Quota (SC reservation) rather than AIQ, especially in states with larger seat availability.
With an All India Rank (AIR) of 70,590 in NEET PG 2025, options for clinical branches in government medical colleges are very slim. Here’s a realistic picture:
Pre-clinical: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry
Para-clinical: Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine
Diploma seats (in some states/private colleges): Diploma in Anesthesia, Child Health, Ophthalmology (limited chances, mostly private)
At this rank, government seats are difficult for MD/MS Clinical branches. You will mostly find options in pre/para-clinical departments in government medical colleges.
You can get clinical seats (like Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Psychiatry, Anesthesia, ENT, Dermatology in some cases) in private or deemed universities, though tuition fees will be higher.
High seat states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh may still have availability in pre/para-clinical at this rank.
States with fewer PG seats (like North-East states, Himachal, Uttarakhand) will have very low chances.
Sorry, but with the NEET rank of 264, it's very unlikely that you will get the govt. Siddha college. Especially if you are a general category student, it will be very, very hard for you. The cutoffs for this college are much higher than yours.
I hope it will clear your query!!
Most of the B.Sc. Nursing seats in IPU are filled through NEET. Very few seats, if any, remain for CET candidates in later rounds or spot rounds. With a CET rank of 169, your chances are very low because priority is given to NEET qualifiers.
You can still wait for the spot round, but chances are limited.
