Hello aspirant,
Securing scores in the range of 501 to 600 on the NEET 2025 exam is extremely challenging because the test was so challenging. For candidates in the general category, the NEET cutoff score for 2025 may range from 490 to 520, with adjustments possible for the remaining candidates.

Hello,
The cutoffs will be released after the NEET-UG result gets published. To find the BDS college cutoffs for the 2025 NEET exam in Aurangabad district , Maharashtra , you'll need to look at the specific cutoffs released by the Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling authority , which will be based on the NEET score and the college you're interested in. The cutoffs will be updated periodically, so checking the official website of the Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling and the college admission portals is important.

With 400 marks in NEET 2025 (Open category, Maharashtra), you are not eligible for government MBBS colleges.
Government colleges in Maharashtra generally require 610+ marks.
Options:
Private medical colleges (chances still low)
Allied health courses (B.Sc. Nursing, etc.)
Drop a year and prepare again for a higher score.
No college in India offers BAMS without NEET.
NEET is mandatory for all BAMS admissions, including private and management quota.
If not qualified, consider a drop year and prepare again.
Hello aspirant
So basically, if you want to do a B.V.Sc course in most places across India, you need to appear for NEET. It’s the main entrance exam used for admissions into veterinary colleges, both for All India Quota and most state quota seats too. Without NEET, getting into a government veterinary college is almost impossible.
There are a few exceptions though. Some private colleges or state universities might have their own entrance process or use 12th marks, like in Tamil Nadu or Odisha. But even then, seats are limited and the competition can still be high. So relying only on non-NEET options may reduce your chances.
If you’re serious about getting into a good veterinary college, it’s best to prepare for NEET and appear for it. That will open up more opportunities for you through both central and state-level counselling.
Hope this clears it up. All the best for your future plans!
Hello reader,
The neet ug score of 263 will have estimated rank from 400,000 to 500,000. I am using the word estimated as the actual rank may vary depending on many factors. If your goal is not mbbs then you can try other courses like Dental, Homeopathy or Ayurvedic.
Best of luck for the future
