Can I get 330+in bio by reading ncert thoroughly??I secured 266 marks in bio at first attemt that too with very little knowledge without tuition or coaching.. So now since I have been reading my bio well.. can I?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 27th Mar, 2020

hi,

see I assume you are asking about neet ug exam, ncert books are best for concept building, since there is no mathematics in biology you need ins and out information to get a good score. its not mandatory to join coaching, and by self study you can also achieve a good score. you may follow arihant publication books for practicing mcq questions for neet ug.\

is state book (XI &XII) biology important for neet Or else we should use CBSE( NCERT)texbooks .

rehan18alam Student Expert 26th Mar, 2020

Dear aspirant,

The neet exam has syllabus according to the NCERT textbooks which are issued by the central government of India. How about these books in itself are not sufficient for neet exam as these books have very concise explanation and you might need help from other help books to understand the topic completely.

Some of these books are HC Verma for physics volume 1 and volume 2

ABC chemistry volume 1 volume 2, op Tandon organic chemistry

Pradeep's Biology

Previous year questions paper books, with 10-30 years previous year papers.

you could also use coaching material from some famous coaching like Aakash Allen resonance etc.

Thank you.

which chapters of physics should be read in ncert?

Pankhuri Kumari 24th Mar, 2020
Hii Aswini!
NCERT is considered the Bible for the exams. If you are talking regarding the NEET UG 2020 examination, you should read everything from class 11th and 12th NCERT books. You should solve NCERT question and also refer to other books apart from NCERT for further knowledge.
Hope you understand.
Good luck!

can I score 550+ in neet just by NCERT?

Shaurya Kapoor 23rd Mar, 2020

Scoring 550+ in NEET is not a big task provided you are studying regularly.

  • Remember that biology carry 50% the total marks. So your primary target must be to get a good score here. Try to get 320+. Believe me it's not much difficult. Even if you are well prepared with ncert alone you can get 320+.
  • 5–6 questions in NEET are like to be out of ncert. But there is no problem in it. Leave those questions. Never try to get negative marks.
  • Suppose you don't know 5 answers and you left those questions unattempted. Out of 85 attempts 2–3 may be wrong answered. Then also you will be able to get 320+.
  • Those questions I am saying of outside NCERT can be found in previous years questions. I mean questions are repeated directly or indirectly.
  • For chemistry your goal should be 130+. Means you have to attempt at least 35 questions.
  • Suppose you left 8–10 questions you are doubtful or unable to solve. And 2–3 questions you attempted become wrong. So you left 40 marks unattempted and 10 marks lost due to 2 wrong answered. You still get 130.
  • For practicing chemistry use ncert and one objective book. Previous years questions solving is obviously a must.
  • For physics; even if you are not good at you can score 120 by practicing regularly. I know if a student can get 320 in bio, 120 in chemistry then he can score 120 in physics also.( agar Bio me 320 score Kar sakte ho to itne bure nahi hoge physics me ki 100+ Na Aaye).
  • Practice as many mcq you can. Use DC Pandey for practicing. Previous years questions again .
  • Don't worry about physics if you left 10 questions, marked 3–4 wrong then also your score can be 120. See it's not a great task.
  • Never try to get a question wrong answered. Just leave some questions you are not sure. The above mentioned conditions are the worst/minimum you can get. You just study well and be regular at study, you can definitely get a good score not 550+ but 600+.

Hello,

NCERT are best for concept building. But the key to cracking competitive exams like NEET is practising as many MCQs as possible. If you just read NCERT and aim to crack NEET then it is not possible. You need to take help of reference books.

how many marks can i expect in JEE main 2020 if i have done the NCERT completely?

Sarthak Dhiman 22nd Mar, 2020

Hello Aspirant.

No one can exactly determine your marks based on your preparation. But based on NCERT knowledge only you won't be able to solve questions in maths and physics section of JEE main examination. You might score moderate in Chemistry section as it's mostly theoretical but you won't be able score more than 50-70 based on NCERT.

Best of luck

Is ncert enough to score 550+ in UPSEE for B. PHARMA?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 22nd Mar, 2020
Hello,

NCERT is important but it is definitely not enough for upsee or any other engineering examinations.
Firstly, you should complete your NCERT and exemplar questions and then you can move to standard books.Question can be difficult at times so you should practice past year question papers to get an idea of questions.

I hope this helps.

How many direct questions came from NCERT textbook in NEET 2019 chemistry exam ?

Pratyay Islam 23rd Mar, 2020

Hello Student,

A lot of inorganic chemistry questions are asked directly from NCERT lines and that is why many rankers suggest NCERT for studying the inorganic part. I myself cracked NEET with an AIR of 3166(UR)  and chemistry score of 167. Topics like inorganic chemistry , biomolecules , polymers , chemistry in everyday life and environmental science have question asked from NCERT directly in NEET.

In NEET 2019 as per I remember 10 - 15 chemistry questions were directly based on NCERT.

But for other topics of organic and physical chemistry knowledge beyond NCERT is needed. Concepts are same but the style of question is different. So I suggest you practice variety of questions for organic and physical chemistry. For Inorganic go with NCERT without any doubts, read between the lines.

After reading NCERT inorganic part, you can check the past 10 years NEET question paper , you will find the same lines from NCERT are given as questions.

Hope this helps.

Dear sir/ Madam I am a student of class 12 commerce and after graduation my only aim is to crack UPSC exam. And for this I started preparing from NCERT Books . And also I started making notes of the chapter is this helpful for me or not? I am confusing abot notes that I am making?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 30th Apr, 2020

UPSC Prelims has 2 papers. Paper 1 covers Current Events, History of India and Indian National Movement, Indian and World Geography, Indian Polity and Governance, Economic and   Social Development, General Issues on Environmental ecology, General Science.

Paper 2 covers Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, logical reasoning and analytical ability, decision making and problem solving, General Mental Ability and basic numeracy numbers.

For this only NCERT books might not be helpful. You have to practise as much as you can in all these Topics. If you are making notes of 12th notes from NCERT books, because you are a Commerce student, it might help you for Mains preparation when you take an Optional subject. That is a good preparation strategy. Many Candidates focus on Mains and the Optional subject from quite early stages. But what you also need to remember is that you can only move to Mains if you qualify in Prelims. So you should also study these all these subjects at 12th level for now. Continue making notes the way you have been doing. But for CSAT, practising is the only way. Making notes might not help much in this section.
