discuss the effect of inert electrolyte on the solubility of sparingly soluble salt. Following data are given for the mean ionic activity coefficient for an acid m. 0.001. 0.005. 0.01. 0.02 0.05 gama 0.928. 0.928. 0.905 0.8750.830 Determine the mean ionic diameter

Ayush 13th Dec, 2020

Hi Candidate,

The solubility of the salt is almost always decreased by the presence of a common ion and the Sparingly soluble materials are those, which have lowered solubility.

Usually materials are treated as sparingly soluble if 1g of material requires 30 to 100ml of solute to dissolve. The ionic diameter is given by the Ionic Activity coefficient × gamma, and taking the mean of the sum.

Due to the device limitations, I can't solve it here, but you can try it out with pen and paper.

Hope that this answer helps you.

for physical chemistry which book should I buy to prepare for neet?

rajaman9300 Student Expert 20th Nov, 2019

Hello

I will again suggest you NCERT. Read NCERT. Solve all the intext examples and back exercise questions. Write down the formulas of all chapters in a small register. By referring your handwritten fromulas, try to solve previous years questions of all the chapters. By doing it regularly, you will master all the formulas automatically.

Then you can go for OP Tondon and all.

What r some best Book for physical chemistry

NAVEEN MEENA Student Expert 15th Nov, 2019

Dear Sidharth, no doubt O.P Tandon is the best physical chemistry book. The book covers the entire Physical Chemistry syllabus including Atomic Structure, Radioactivity and Nuclear Transformation and Stoichiometry. The OP Tandon Physical Chemistry book covers each and every topic related to the JEE preparation.

P.W Atkins is another famous book you can look after. Atkins Physical Chemistry book can help you clear concepts used in solving Physical Chemistry numerical quite well. It includes enhanced explanations and mathematical presentation of the concepts; several solved examples, and self-test. There are exercises at the end of each chapter. There is a checklist of key equations too at the end of every chapter which is quite useful for students during revisions.

All the best

Hope this helps

hi ,hello . i have five months for preparation for neet exam . i have a problem . i am studying in my home and i dont know how to prepare.i dont know how to slove physics and i dont physical chemistry. what should i have tto do now?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 6th Nov, 2019

Dear Lakshmi, we have prepared a strategy after discussion with our experts and previous NEET toppers. May be this can help you: Physics needs utmost focus and time because it involves with theoretical concepts and numbers. There should be a systematic approach in preparing for NEET. The important topics are Mechanics, ElectroDynamics, Modern Physics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Optics, Simple Harmonic Motion, Waves. Formulae form an integral part of your preparation. Memorise as many formulae as you can and write them down and stick them as post its so that you can always see them. Practise regularly and try various kinds of questions. Solving previous papers and mock tests to test your improvement. Keep a clock and check the time its taking you to solve these questions. And improve the time as you practise more. One day of the week should be set aside for revision so as to keep the mind fresh. How to be consistent in studies?

Vishal Kumar mahto 26th Nov, 2019
Dear aspirant,
Never take study as a load or any type of headache.
Always try to do study with some entertainment to be consistent in studies. for consistent study, try everyday  to cover at least those topics which are being taught in the class on that particular day. This will reduce your stress during exam time and you can also maintain consistency in your study. Always try to do your study with  relating it to practical life. It will increase your interest towards your study and you can study for longer duration.
Hope it helps.
Good luck.

sir chemical bonding and molecular structure is a chapter of physical chemistry by WILEY but this chapter is also in inorganic chemistry by J. D LEE. From which I have to study sir?

Ronak Gala Student Expert 12th Oct, 2019

Yaa I know this. Even I was confused during my 10+2 years. But what I can guide you by my experience is, go with the book which you are more comfortable with.. Building concepts and clearing topics is much more important than choosing between the books. Every author writes with his own perspective but at the end of the day, concept and things remain the same... Maybe the way of explaining differs that's why I mentioned study from the book that you are more comfortable with.. I had studied it through JD LEE.

Best wishes. Thank you.
