which is better - political science honours or english honours for a person wanting to pursue a llb degree?

Muskan Dhalwal 18th Aug, 2022

Hello,

If you want to pursue LLB then you can directly take entrance exams for colleges offering the same. Some of the major exams are CLAT, KLEE, LSAT, RULET.

But if you wish to explore courses before this, then you can do either of the two based on your interest. However, people usually pursue BA Political Science hons if they want to take up LLB afterwards with preparation.

You can check the following link if you wish to know more about the course, its fee structure and the best colleges in this field -

whats is the cutoff marks for BA. arts hindi and political science for St cast in gangadhar university

sampritiroy75 29th Aug, 2022

Hello aspirant,

At first, the minimum eligibility for a candidate is passing out class 12 from Council of Higher Secondary Examination, Odisha or its equivalent exams with about 50% marks. Cut offs vary every year depending on the no. Of applications, level of class 12th , and so on.

For the popular courses like Hindi or Political science, Cut offs generally remain above 94% in the first list, followed by the reduction of the marks in the consecutive lists. However, categories other than OC do enjoy relaxations and Gangagdhar University is a public institution.

Hope it was relevant. Good luck!
