Hello,
A state-owned enterprise in India is called Public Sector Undertaking PSU or a Public Sector Enterprise. The company stock is majority-owned by the government in a PSU. PSUs are classified as central public sector enterprises (CPSUs, CPSEs) or state level public enterprises (SLPEs).
PSU is government job but not 100% government. You can enter in this job through GATE examination. If you are clear the GATE examination then you are an eligible candidate. So many engineers course are best for PSU, like- mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, agriculture engineering, electronic and communication engineering. In now days computer science engineering and information technology engineering, biotechnology also join the PSU job.
All the best.

Hello Dear,
Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) are the organizations that are completely or partially owned (51% or more share) by the Government of India. First of all you need to understand that PSU jobs are not pure government jobs and it may be possible that someday in the future they will be privatized as the government's thrust is on disinvestment these days. Working in an Indian PSUs (or any other Government organization) provides you the job security. In terms of salary they offer handsome package depending upon your job profile:
Organization Status Salary Structure
Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Maharatna Rs. 60,000-1,80,000
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) Maharatna Rs. 60,000-1,80,000
Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) Maharatna Rs. 60,000-1,80,000
Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited(NLC) Navratna Rs.20600-3%-46500
Good Luck

hello aspirant,
As of now its tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc.based on previous year data you have tough chances to fetch seat at iit bombay based on last year cutoffs it was more than 700.also for iit madras ,iit hyderabad the cutoff rose to more than 600 last year.however you can have few chances in NIT kurukshetra,NIT roukela based on last year cutoff.note that as each year cutoff changes so are your chances into colleges.for more information refer to: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff

hi,
see cutoff score for public sector undertaking or any government or semi government institute depends on mainly the number of vacancy, cutoff score for particular stream, questions difficulty level and so on. since you did not mention anything about category, I am considering you as general category. however at this score it would be quite difficult to short listed for psu interview or selection process. general category candidates needs 700+ score to get psu calls. but in some of the cases , psus like vizag steel has separate entrance exam , but to apply for the said vacancy gate score is necessary. so you would get benefit because of gate score. So my suggestion is apply for most of the vacancy where recruitment criteria meets with your profile. you may also apply for m.tech and because of valid gate score you would get monthly stipend of 12,400.
To know about complete list of probable college name, psu calling chances based on your score, category please use Careers360 college predictor tool
https://engineering.careers360.com/gate-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
This depends on what your interest is that is whether you would like to work or pursue your education.
If you decide to do M.Tech then IIT Delhi is the best for CSE department, followed by IIT Kanpur and then IIT Bomaby.
Now if you want to try for a government job, which os a very good option since you get paid really well and have job security, but to get into a PSU you need to get really good ranks.
I will share with you a link where you will get a clear picture of the previous year's GATE cutoff trends for PSUs.
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/what-are-gate-scores-for-psu-recruitment
So it would be my opinion that if you score really well then you should try for PSUs since then you will be having a secured future. But of your passion is to learn then you should join M.Tech in one of the above given IITs
