hi,
see cutoff score for public sector undertaking or any government or semi government institute depends on mainly the number of vacancy, cutoff score for particular stream, questions difficulty level and so on. since you did not mention anything about category, I am considering you as general category. however at this score it would be quite difficult to short listed for psu interview or selection process. general category candidates needs 700+ score to get psu calls. but in some of the cases , psus like vizag steel has separate entrance exam , but to apply for the said vacancy gate score is necessary. so you would get benefit because of gate score. So my suggestion is apply for most of the vacancy where recruitment criteria meets with your profile. you may also apply for m.tech and because of valid gate score you would get monthly stipend of 12,400.

Hello,
This depends on what your interest is that is whether you would like to work or pursue your education.
If you decide to do M.Tech then IIT Delhi is the best for CSE department, followed by IIT Kanpur and then IIT Bomaby.
Now if you want to try for a government job, which os a very good option since you get paid really well and have job security, but to get into a PSU you need to get really good ranks.
I will share with you a link where you will get a clear picture of the previous year's GATE cutoff trends for PSUs.

So it would be my opinion that if you score really well then you should try for PSUs since then you will be having a secured future. But of your passion is to learn then you should join M.Tech in one of the above given IITs
Good Luck
see cutoff score for psu hiring fluctuate every year and it depends on certain facts like number of vacancy, students category, stream of engineering etc. however at this score you have very tough chances for psus , but I suggest you to apply since after shortlisted there would be several rounds like written test, gd , personal interview and so on. you may also apply for m.tech courses in iits and nits.

Yes, If you have passed in B. Tech after Diploma in Engineering you are eligible to get shortlisted for PSU recruitment provided you must have qualified in GATE. Minimum 60-75% aggregate marks in B.Tech course is essential because the minimum percentage required in the qualifying examination varies depending on the PSU you are applying for. The eligibility criteria varies from one PSU to another so you need to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the recruitment.
Dear student,
If you are going for the PSU by gate exam, then the bsc percentage don't matter much. But you must have a passing percentage in it. Also in the interview, you will be asked about the core subjects and your technical skills will be tested. Once you cracked the gate exam, the bsc percentage will not matter.
Also for psu via gate exam you must absolutely be sure for every answer.
every year public sector undertaking or psus hire candidates based on gate score. however you have to check the official website for applications and eligibility criteria. however some of the psus which forms in currently going on is as follows:
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL)
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL)

Yes, with an AIR 80 in GATE CSE/IT, I believe you have good scope in making into one of the Good PSUs with a great GD/PI.
However, I would suggest you to prepare for GATE followed by Postgraduation from some of the Higher Technical Institutes like Top IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani or IISc Bangalore for better career scope and prospects.
