Hey Rajnandini!
Yes, you can opt for B.Ed after completing your BA(program). The eligibility criteria is that students must have completed a BA(Bachelor of Arts), B.Com,B.Sc, or any other bachelor's degree from a recognised institution or college. Minimum qualification marks may vary in each college. Although, they typically range from 45% to 55% for general category students and about 40%-50% for SC/ST students. One can also do B.Ed programme after completing a master's degree. Each college has its own admission process. While some universities allow for direct admission through merit, other require students to take entrance exams. A student must fulfill the eligibility requirements in order to take the admission exam. The admission exam will include a written exam to assess conceptual clarity, followed by a personal interview if only the candidate has cleared the exam.
Hello Kesavan!
Both Anthropology and Sociology are two of the particularly popular elective courses. When it comes to sociology, it has more number of takers as compared to Anthropology. More applicants appear to believe that sociology is preferable optional. The curriculum is somewhat shorter and is easy to comprehend. It is more famous among humanities grads since it contains less science than anthropology. It also aids in writing essays.
Anthropology,on the other hand is a preferable option for science students, particularly those with a background in biology. Students with science background find it more scoring. Writing abilities aren't as crucial in anthropology as they are in sociology.
Before selecting the optional, make sure to go through the syllabus and then opt considering the subject you are more comfortable in.
All the best!

Hello,
Firstly the eligibility criteria of master's degree in all the aforementioned subjects such as political science/economics/sociology/public administration isn't same for all universities and by this what I mean is some universities do emphasis on having the specific subject studied at graduation level whether as hons or at least as one of the subject in graduation, for example BHU is one such university which do put emphasis on such conditions, on other hand JNU, Delhi offers MA in PISM/IRAM for which candidates from any discipline with 50% aggregate from a recognized university are eligible to apply, generally speaking in case of pg for sociology, public administration candidates from any discipline of graduation from a recognized university with the required aggregate (that vary depending upon the norms of the colleges) can apply however in case of MA Economics in majority cases it would be mandatory to either have Economics Hons at ug level or have studied it as a subject, you can go through the following pages to get an idea for the same
There are also options for pursuing these courses through distance mode , if you take example of IGNOU regarding this, then it doesn't ask for having studied the specific subject at graduation level, you should check out the eligibility criteria of the specific university prior to applying as I said each one has different norms.
there are many colleges that offer master in sociology programs as part of their distance learning initiative. you can apply to these colleges, clear the respective entrances and secure your admission here. some of the colleges are:
these are subject to variation with respect to yearly changes
