Yes, you can do B. tech biotechnology even if you are a Biology student and you don't have math as a subject, but yes not all the college offers B. tech biotechnology to Biology students.
NITs offer B. tech biotechnology, like NIT Calicut NIT Durgapur etc. but you cannot get admission for B tech biotechnology in NITs as they offer admission through JEE Mains and it is compulsory to have studied mathematics in 10 + 2 to be eligible for JEE Mains.
Colleges like VIT offers B tech biotechnology to Biology students.
So, both Math and Biology students are eligible for B tech biotechnology in VIT. So being a Biology student you can pursue BTech biotechnology in VIT.
Also,
M. Tech Biotechnology degree holders can easily expect an average salary of INR 3,00,000 to 10,00,000 per annum. The salary is always proportional to the experience you have earned in the field. The salary offered to you increases with an increase in the experience earned in the respective field.
Hope this helps
