If you're planning to do LLB through distance mode, it's important to know that the Bar Council of India does not recognize distance LLB for practicing law. This means you won’t be allowed to enroll as an advocate or appear in court if you complete the degree through correspondence.

Some universities do offer law-related distance programs, but they’re more suitable for academic interest or careers in legal support roles, not for courtroom practice. The fee for such courses usually falls between 50,000 to 80,000 per year, depending on the university.

As for 2025 admissions, most universities begin their application process between March and July, so you still have time.

With an OBC-NCL rank of 7480 in JEE Advanced, getting admission to any IIT is highly unlikely, especially in core or popular branches like CSE (Computer Science), ECE, Mechanical, or Electrical.

What’s the usual cut-off range for IITs (OBC-NCL)?

Top IITs (like Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur, etc.): Below 1500 rank for decent branches.

Newer IITs (like IIT Goa, IIT Bhilai, IIT Jammu, etc.): Some branches may go up to 5000–6000 in OBC-NCL.

Beyond 7000 (OBC-NCL) – chances are very low in any IIT.

If your mother’s surname is different in your 10th and 12th marksheets, it usually won’t lead to rejection in DU CSAS Phase 1. Just make sure the name in your application matches the one in your 10th marksheet.
