The climate of the Peninsular Plateau is affected by the following factors:
1. Latitude – Most of the plateau lies in the tropical region, so it has high temperatures throughout the year.
2. Distance from the sea – Coastal areas have moderate climate, while interior regions experience extreme heat and less rainfall.
3. Monsoon winds – South-west and north-east monsoons bring seasonal rainfall to the plateau.
4. Relief features – The Western Ghats block monsoon winds and cause heavy rainfall on the western side, while the eastern side gets less rain.
5. Altitude – Higher regions of the plateau have comparatively cooler climate than low-lying areas.
These factors together decide the temperature and rainfall pattern of the Peninsular Plateau.
For SSC and RRB undergraduate level posts, you need to prepare basic subjects. These exams are mainly for 10th and 12th pass students.
Syllabus you should study:
1. Mathematics
Basic maths like percentages, ratio, profit and loss, simple interest, time and work, speed and distance, averages.
2. Reasoning
Number series, analogy, coding-decoding, direction sense, blood relation, syllogism, Venn diagrams.
3. General Awareness
Current affairs, Indian history, geography, polity, basic science, economy, important days and events.
4. General Science (for RRB)
Physics, chemistry and biology up to 10th standard level.
How to start:
Read NCERT books (class 6–10) first.
Practice previous year question papers.
Give mock tests regularly.
Study daily for at least 3–4 hours with revision.
If you prepare these topics well, you can clear SSC and RRB undergraduate exams.
To solve Venn diagram questions, first understand the relation between the three items.
Steps to choose the correct diagram:
1. Check if all three are different
If there is no relation at all, choose three separate circles.
Example: Dog, Car, Tree
2. Check if one comes inside another
If one item is a type of another, draw one circle inside another.
Example: Rose, Flower, Plant
(Rose inside Flower, Flower inside Plant)
3. Check if two are related and one is different
Use two overlapping circles and one separate circle.
Example: Teacher, Student, Tree
4. Check if all three are related
Use three overlapping circles.
Example: Doctor, Surgeon, Human
Always read the words carefully and think about category, type, or use.
Then select the diagram that matches their relationship.

If you want to become a doctor (MBBS), then Arts stream is not eligible for that path. To study MBBS in India, you must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) in class 11 and 12 and clear NEET.
What you can do now:
Option 1: Switch to science (PCB)
If possible, change your stream to PCB through your school or by taking NIOS (open schooling). After completing 12th with PCB, you can appear for NEET and try for MBBS.
Option 2: Other medical and healthcare courses (without MBBS)
If switching streams is not possible, you can still work in the medical field through courses like:
BSc Nursing (some colleges allow non-PCB via bridge courses)
BSc Psychology
BSc Medical Lab Technology
Pharmacy (DPharm/BPharm – PCB preferred but rules vary)
Hospital Administration
Public Health courses

You can take a one-year drop and appear next year, even as a private candidate, as per board rules. Your next year’s marksheet will be fully valid and will not mention the drop year or any previous attempt.
