Can I get Formula list for SNAP Quant Section?

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 3rd Dec, 2025

Yes, you can definitely prepare better for the SNAP Quantitative Ability section by keeping a complete formula list with you. Instead of memorising everything randomly, it helps to organise formulas chapter-wise so you can revise faster.

Here is a useful formula list for the SNAP Quant section:

1. Arithmetic
• Percentages → % = (Value/Total) × 100
• Profit & Loss → Profit = SP − CP | Loss = CP − SP
• Discount → SP = MP − Discount
• Simple Interest → SI = (P × R × T) / 100
• Compound Interest → A = P (1 + R/100)^T

2. Ratio & Proportion / Mixtures
• Ratio → a : b = a/b
• Mixture formula → (Quantity × Difference) rule (Alligation)

3. Time, Speed & Distance
• Speed = Distance / Time
• Time = Distance / Speed
• Relative Speed → Same direction: (A − B), Opposite direction: (A + B
• Average speed → (2AB) / (A + B)

4. Time & Work
• Work = Rate × Time
• If A does work in X days → 1 day work = 1/X
• A and B together → 1/x + 1/y formula

5. Numbers
• HCF × LCM = Product of two numbers (for two integers)
• Divisibility rules (2,3,5,9 etc.)
• Sum of n natural numbers → n(n + 1)/2

6. Algebra
• (a + b)² = a² + b² + 2ab
• (a − b)² = a² + b² − 2ab
• a² − b² = (a + b)(a − b)
• Quadratic Equation → x = [−b ± √(b² − 4ac)] / 2a

7. Geometry / Mensuration
• Area of triangle → 1/2 × base × height
• Area of circle → πr²
• Circumference → 2πr
• Surface area of cuboid → 2(lb + bh + hl)
• Volume of cylinder → πr²h

8. Probability & Permutation
• Probability → Favourable / Total outcomes
• Permutation → nPr = n! / (n − r)!
• Combination → nCr = n! / [r! (n − r)!]

9. Data Interpretation
• Percentage change → ((New − Old) / Old) × 100
• Average → Sum of values / Number of values

If you revise these formulas along with short practice every day, your speed in SNAP Quant improves a lot. If you want, I can also share a chapter-wise important question list for quick practice.

All the best.

Sakshi 3rd Dec, 2025

The IPMAT (Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test) syllabus for 2026 is structured around three main, demanding sections designed to test your analytical and verbal abilities at an advanced level.

Here is the essential syllabus breakdown:

IPMAT Syllabus (2026)

  1. Quantitative Ability (QA): This section is highly crucial. It tests advanced mathematical skills up to the Class 12 level (for IPMAT Indore) and includes:

    • Arithmetic: Time and work, speed, distance, simple and compound interest, averages, percentage, ratio, and proportion.

    • Algebra: Quadratic and linear equations, inequalities, logarithms, and functions.

    • Geometry/Mensuration: Trigonometry, 2D and 3D shapes.

    • Modern Maths: Permutations and Combinations (P&C), Probability, and Set Theory.

    • Data Interpretation (DI).

  2. Verbal Ability (VA): This section assesses your command of the English language, including:

    • Reading Comprehension (RC)

    • Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms)

    • Grammar (Error Detection, Fill in the Blanks)

    • Para Jumbles and Sentence Correction.

  3. Logical Reasoning (LR) / Quantitative Ability (QA-Short Answer): Depending on the IIM, this may include puzzles, critical reasoning, and a section dedicated to short-answer numeric questions.

Your focus must be on speed and accuracy, as this is a high-speed test. You must practice every topic diligently to meet the section-wise cutoffs. You can find more details about the exam structure and participating IIMs here: https://bschool.careers360.com/exams/ipmat

joined an eng college from kcet 2025 and completed almost 3 months in college, so after that i want to leave the clg for personal reason but what about seat alloted by kea...because I have been going to clg if I wish to join other engineering college next year whats the actual process to do

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 3rd Dec, 2025

If you joined an engineering college through KCET 2025 and completed around 3 months but now want to leave due to personal reasons, then you can definitely discontinue. However, you need to follow a proper procedure because the seat was allotted by KEA. First, you have to visit your present college and apply for official discontinuation. The college will ask you to submit a written application, no-dues form, and sometimes they may also ask for payment of fee balance as per their policies. After this, the college will issue a Transfer Certificate (TC), study certificate (if applicable), and a fee receipt acknowledgment.

Once you discontinue, your current KCET-allotted seat will get cancelled. If you want to join another engineering college next year, you must appear for KCET again or take admission through the management quota, because the old KCET seat cannot be transferred. There is no penalty from KEA side for writing KCET again next year, so you can attempt the entrance exam once more and participate in counselling to get a new seat in your preferred college.

So, the correct process is:

  1. Submit a discontinuation request to your current college.

  2. Clear no-dues and collect TC and supporting documents.

  3. Appear for KCET next year if you want another government/KEA seat.

  4. Attend counselling again and choose a new college.

Taking this step early will avoid creating academic loss later and you will be able to join a better college comfortably next year. All the best.

Can I get an admission in class VIII?

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 3rd Dec, 2025

Yes, you can get admission in Class VIII, but it depends on the school’s availability of seats and its admission rules. Usually, schools allow admission in Class VIII if you have completed Class VII from a recognised school and can provide the necessary documents. These documents generally include your previous school’s report card, transfer certificate, birth certificate, and passport-size photographs. Some schools also conduct a short entrance test or interview to check your level before confirming the admission.

The best way is to visit or contact the school directly, ask whether seats are available in Class VIII, and enquire about the admission procedure, documents, and last dates. If you follow the steps on time and provide all documents correctly, you should be able to secure admission without any difficulty. All the best.
