With a Tamil Nadu state rank of 5690 (OBC, non-service) , getting MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBG) in government medical colleges under state quota is very unlikely .

OBG is a highly preferred clinical branch. In Tamil Nadu, most government seats are taken by service candidates and high-rank holders . Non-service candidates usually need a much better rank to get OBG in government colleges .

You can still:
• Attend state counselling
• Try for private medical colleges under government quota
• Keep backup options like other branches or diploma courses.

2. BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) – Maths helps, physics not needed, moderate fees in govt colleges, career in software, web development, and IT.

3. BFA / Design courses – Best if you love drawing, physics and maths not important, low fees in government art colleges, career in graphic design, animation, or illustration.

You should avoid courses like engineering or core physics fields as they need strong physics and high fees. Focus on maths and chemistry, and try government colleges to keep costs low.
