Yes it is mandatory to do 1 year internship for the md course.In addition to that you need to complete MBBS Or BAMS with minimum score of 50%.A minimum aggregate score of 60% at graduation level is required.So this is the qualifying criteria for MD course.

So 1 year internship is mandatory to pursue the course.

You are only eligible to pursue MD(i.e Doctor of Medicine) after you graduate MBBS with a minimum aggregate score of 50% while graduation. There is no such provision of eligibity granted to you to pursue MD after one year internship after BSc cardiac technology.

However, you can choose going for MSc cardiac technology or MSc in cardiology and thoracic science or MSc in cardiac perfusion for higher study purposes after BSc in cardiac technology. But unfortunately there is no path for you to pursue MD after Bsc cardiology even after 1 year of internship because you do not hold that specialization of a surgeon.
