Hi

Non-Creamy Layer Certificate is also known as Other Backward Class Certificate , was introduced by former Prime Minister V.P.Singh in 1993.

OBC Creamy layer is the wealthier section of OBC and are not eligible for any benefits provided by the government. They are excluded from any benefits given to OBCs.

any family whose income is less than 8 lakh per annum comes under OBC non creamy layer and can enjoy any benefits and reservations fixed for other back ward class.

Hence you will come under Other backward class/OBC and not general category.

Hope this answers your query!
