The cut offs are reduced when the no.of seats available are more in number. Then the NMC in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Family welfare will reduce the cut offs. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, difficulty of the exam, and no.of seats available for each specialisation. The cut offs have been reduced last year and we need to wait and watch how would the counselling scenario be this year. It is too early to comment upon.
