Yes you are eligible to apply for DoMS NIT Trichy as according to the institute's eligibility criteria, applicants should be graduates in any discipline from a recognised university or institute. In order to be eligible for taking CAT, you must have at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. The CAT cutoff is around 90 percentile. Being from Commerce background is not a hindrance in pursuing MBA. Since you are in your 2nd year and assuming that your course is of 3 years, you can start preparing for CAT right away.
