In order to get admission in Engineering colleges, it is necessary to answer an entrance exam. The entrance exams to be answered are JEE Mains for national level colleges and CET which is a state level entrance exam. However, some universities conduct their own examinations like BITS Pilani conducts BITSAT, Vellore Institute of Technology conducts VITEEE and so on.

In Delhi, IPU CET is conducted as a state level entrance exam for BTech and also it accepts JEE mains score. You cannot get a direct admission via your 12th score in engineering.
