To get admission in IITs and NITs you need to score atleast 75% in class xii board. Your admission in these premier institutes depend on what AIR you score in JEE exam. Even if you get good rank in jee but somehow fail to score atleast 75% in board you wont be eligible for the seat in these institutes and vice-versa.
