What is your GMR i. e general rank

In wbjee all the seats are alloted on the basis of GMR rank and not your category rank .

This is very difficult to predict because cut off keeps changing every year depending upon a number of factors like

--------) number of students that appeared in the WBJEE exam

--------)difficulty level of the WBJEE examination

--------)Kind of marks obtained by the students in the WBJEE exam

--------) number of students from different categories

--------) seats available for different branches etc

Anyway

On the basis of analysis of past years wbjee cut off data ,

For government college your GMR rank should have been at least around 30,000 being from sc

For example,

In 2019 , in 3rd round of wbjee, 30978 GMR i. e general rank for sc category  was the closing rank for a government engineering college and it was for was for Govt. College Of Engineering & Textile Technology, Serampore , Apparel & Production Management

So, you have chance in govt colleges only if you have a round 30,000 GMR being from sc
