The whole procedure of srm counselking is given below 

First off,you write the exam SRMJEEE, and then your rank is calculated based on your performance, based on your rank you will be called for counselling to srm kattankulathur. they usually handle about 8000 ranks per day split into forenoon and afternoon sessions. the counselling takes place in the T P Ganesan auditorium. there will be a giant screen which shows the seats remaining in all the branches in all the various campuses and it is updated as the seats are filled. there will be about 20 desks in the front, and people are called in batches of 100 ranks. they verify your documents, and you select your choice of branch. then you will be sent off to a separate room where they confirm your choice and update your details to the computer. then fee details are given,in addition to login id for the website to check out any updates. then you are good to go.

There is no coinselling fee but a certain amount of tution fee is to be submitted.The amount should be in the form of DD which you need to carry with you at the time of counselling. You cant pay it in cash or online. You will have to submit it in the form of DD only.
