Generally the areospace engineering in Chennai campus closes at 52000. So it seems you have good chances for it.
Now talking about scope, the aerospace industry in india has not bloomed yet. There is low scope in carrer in our nation. So chose widely.

Btech is much more good than Mtech in SRM. You can apply for GATE entrance and get admission in good IIT, NIT's for Mtech studies.
