Hello,

Every year, the Department of English at Delhi University holds an admission exam known as the DU CATE Exam. The exam is also referred to as the Delhi University Common Aptitude Test for English. This entrance exam is administered by the university in order to admit candidates to its BA (Hons) English undergraduate programme. The admission exam is held at the University's 12 affiliated colleges.

SC/ST/PH/foreign students do not need to take this entrance exam since, according to University guidelines, they are accepted straight to the programme. Candidates' qualifying exam scores, as well as their merit in the common aptitude test, are used to make final decisions.

Also based on the 12 th result one can apply and the mark of the best for subjects are taken into account. The eligibility to apply is min 65 percent and 75 percent in english core.
