Hey Harsh! Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) formerly known as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering (VRCE) was established in the year 1960. The institute is one of the 31 NITs in the country. After the conversion of the institute to VNIT in the year 2002, it was declared as an Institute of National Importance by National Institutes of Technology, Act 2007. The VNIT Nagpur admission is based on the marks scored in national level entrance examinations.
The JEE cutoff rank for B. Tech in Chemical Engineering in VNIT Nagpur was 21000 for other state students and 23000 for Home state student.
