Hii,
VNIT CSE is a better choice if you enjoy computers, coding, and software because computer science offers more career opportunities and higher salaries overall. However, NIT Warangal ECE is also excellent if you have a preference for electronics, gadgets, or circuits—NIT Warangal is more well-known and ranked higher. Thus, make your decision based on your preferences. CSE at VNIT is a marginally better choice for employment and future advancement.

With an EWS rank of 6328 and a percentile of 97.01 in JEE Mains 2025, you have a good chance of admission in VNIT, though it depends on the branch and the overall competition. Given your HSC score of 72.12%, consider applying for branches with comparatively lower cutoff ranks.
Hello,
Based on previous years' data, your EWS rank of 26,200 is unlikely to secure admission to Civil Engineering at VNIT Nagpur.
Past Closing Ranks for Civil Engineering at VNIT Nagpur (HS Quota):
Your EWS rank is 26,200, which is lower than the previous years' closing ranks. This means that, based on past trends, you are within the range for a possible chance of admission to Civil Engineering at VNIT Nagpur.
Hope it helps !
Hi karan
A 96.34 percentile score in JEE Main Session 1 for a General-EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category candidate likely won't get you admission to NIT Nagpur,
Thanks
Hello,
To get a seat in the ECE stream at VNIT Nagpur as a general category student, you’ll need to aim for a rank within the top 3000-3500 in JEE Mains. The exact score required can vary each year, but generally, scoring around 180-220 marks could help you get close to that rank range.
To be safe, it's always good to aim for a higher score. Keep in mind, competition can vary, so focusing on improving your score as much as possible will give you the best chance.
Hope it helps !
With a percentile score of 98.04 in JEE Main, your chances of getting into VNIT's Electronics branch (HS) look promising.
To give you a better idea, here are some key statistics:
- VNIT's cutoff trends: VNIT's cutoffs for Electronics branch (HS) have been around 97-98 percentile in previous years.
- Seat allocation: VNIT has a total of 115 seats in the Electronics branch (HS), with 55% of seats allocated to Home State (HS) candidates.
Considering these factors, a percentile score of 98.04 should give you a good chance of getting into VNIT's Electronics branch (HS). However, please note that:
- Other factors at play: JoSAA counseling, category-wise seat allocation, and other factors can influence the final seat allocation.
- Cutoffs can vary: Cutoffs can fluctuate from year to year, depending on various factors like the number of applicants and the difficulty level of the exam.

Having a rank of approx 41000 and considering you belong to the OBC-NCL category with Maharashtra as your home state, you have a good chance of securing admission in the CSE branch at some IIITs and VNIT (Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology) through the home state quota.
You may consider these colleges:
IIIT Nagpur: Closing ranks for CSE are generally around 40,000–60,000 for OBC-NCL candidates. You have a good chance here.
IIIT Pune: CSE closing ranks are usually within your range, so you might get admission.
CSE at VNIT Nagpur: Closing ranks for CSE are generally around 25,000–35,000 for OBC-NCL candidates. Your rank may be a bit on the higher side, but it's still worth considering later rounds or CSAB special rounds.

Hi there,
Hope you are doing fine.
Both the colleges mentioned above are the top engineering colleges.
You can pursue your studies from any of the above mentioned institutions and can excel further in your carrer.
But choosing one between the two depend on the field and stream you want to study in the future. You can visit the official website of both the colleges and can get an information about the previous year cutoff and the placement records of both the colleges and the academic facilities there and then can choose between the one depending on which suits you the most. You can also contact with their senior students and the alumni and can know about the college and the environment there and many more.
