Batch of 2017 | B.Tech Chemical Engineering
I starts reviewing the college academics, hostels, mess, extracurricular activities and then college life. Academics: We are taught with the professors who gives us the challenging assignments with the best class room infrastructure and good environment. Hostels :Seperate hosels for boys and girls with mess facility. All the hostels are sufficiently big enough to accomodate all the students.A new 10 floored hostels with all the facilities is about to complete the construcction and comes into the use by the end of 2017. Extra-curricular Activities: As far as considered, college encourages in participating actively in games ,so every year it conducts the inter branch sports meet (INSTITUTEGATHERING-IG) And intra department activities. We have a reasonable ground space (includes one cricket pitch, volley ball ,basketball and kho-kho fields) and indoor stadium and seperate lawntennis stadiums. As placements are considered, college is having the history of 100% placements for CSE,ECE,EEE AND MECH and when 60% when considering chemical and mining engineering and the very less percentage for metallurgy and materials department. Many consultancy and analytical companies visit our college and they are opened for all the departments. Apart from this ,the college is situated in mid-nagpur with all the main market areas nearbuy and the college is surrounded by all the restaruants. Hope this helps you in taking the decision.

First thing I like about this college is the hostel life. So I insist upon taking hostel accommodation if you're taking admission in VNIT. If you're a socializing psychopath, there are many events to suffice that thirst of yours. Some Professors will give you a hard time, some may not. You'll make lots of good, funny and silly memories in VNIT.

Excellent placements with relevant industry exposure. V.N.I.T. also provided with a plethora of opportunities in the field of research, with students being given full funding to even present their research paper in international conferences. State of the art infrastructure, with excellent library facility and digital library having access to various journals provide a conducive environment fit for learning. Emphasis on co-curricular activities and various student-run clubs help students explore their true inner selves. A 220 acre lush green campus ensures a pleasant stay for the students during the course of curriculum. Health center, 24 hour ambulance service, gym , all these facilities ensure that students health is given the desired priority.

VNIT is truly one of the best colleges in country. The overall infrastructure is up to the mark including library and lab equipments. The two main festivals ( AXIS and AROHI) boasts of excellent events and competitions that are really worth participating in . Also one can develop all the necessary skills to become engineer in true sense of the word. The college also provides ample opportunities to enjoy and fulfill the andrenaline rush.

It is an awesome campus situated in the heart of the city. The facilities are too good. The hostels have 5 floors. The campus has sufficient facilities for all types of people. Here one can find some of the facilities like musical instruments and photography clubs. It has very few fests but is sufficient for enjoyment. The placements are great.

VNIT Metallurgy nails it! Hats off to Professor Moghe.

It really isn't much happening in the first year but it takes pace when you encounter your department courses. VNIT isn't to be blamed; it's the overall scenario. Lush greenery all around the campus. And with current construction work going on, infrastructure will become better and the best amongst NITs. Department of MME has got some hardcore professors with zeal, energy and passion for teaching. There's no match for them. Some down to earth local students and a mixture of cultures brought out from the niches of India in the hostels. Overall a good experience and placements are well to do as is expected from any NIT.

The college has excellent sports facilities, numerous extra-curricular activities like Arohi and Axis to develop the skills of students. Faculty members are good and have knowledge of various topics that are required for an engineer. The hostel is a place to hang out with friends and share their stories. In addition to this, you get a chance to meet the people from various religion.

As it is a National level college to get to know different kinds of people, from different culture and religion. A healthy competition among all which is essential. Various events and clubs are for personality development of an individual. Most of the professors are pretty experienced, helpful and motivating.

VNIT is one of the premier technical institutions in India. The curriculum is very vast and makes engineering one of the toughest to pass, especially ECE. The semester exams are also tough and require a good command to score grades. If you compare infrastructure, my college has one of the best. Top class hostels and classrooms are also well maintained. The faculty is good and very friendly with few exception. The campus is always filled with various activities from clubs and companies. My college is a great mixture of people from all cultures. We have students from North India, East India, South India, foreign students and students from remote locations all sharing the same room and studying under the same hood. The college provides many restrictions to fresher’s to save them from ragging which is often very troublesome. The college has supportive seniors and various facilities to nurture your skills.

The average placement is of around Rs. 6 lpa. Last year, the maximum placement was of Rs.11 lpa, by BPCL. About internship, many big companies such as Reliance, Godrej etc come for campus placement. This year, Reliance offered Rs. 9 lakhs per annum. There's good placement in IT and management sectors. Companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley also come for campus placement. There are free LAN cables provided for use from second year onward, with a bandwidth of 1gbps. There are well equipped classrooms and labs with modern technology equipment. There is an indoor sports complex with indoor table tennis and badminton court. It is the only NIT having turf wickets basketball court. Last year, VNIT was the winner of inter NIT cricket tournament and runner up of inter NIT basketball tournament. It also provides free medical facillites with its own health center.

My college life is definitely fun. I have observed some people from other colleges have something like a school life. But here we do have lots of freedom. Faculty , I had definitely expected better. But some of our teachers are brilliant. Cult fest and tech fest are very enjoyable and pretty grand. In labs, we still have to write journals. And that is quite a waste. Tutorials of most subjects are not very helpful.

Batch of 2019 | B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering
College life was not upto my expectations, I expected that after so many years in school getting forced to study a subject which I am not at all interested in, this would change in college. But it is the same scenario in college, there is no freedom to choose what you want to study, we are not able to explore every subject which we should be able to as it will help me find my actual interest. Only the senior faculty is good here, specially of electrical department, they actually make us understand things rather than rot learning, whereas the junior faculty that is around 50-60% don't even know how to teach. Extra curricular activities are encouraged, but to a certain level, college events are also good. Hostel mess food cannot be called food according to my friends. The worse thing about college is practical journals, we are performing an experiment, we should know the theory and procedure before hand, then why do we have to write it in a journal? Only observations should be noted down, that's all. And we kind of waste 60% of our free time in completing journals which is not even that important. There is no time to explore ourselves, learn new things and innovation. Thank you.

College life is very good. But there needs to be some improvement in infrastructure and placements. Some faculties are very good and some are fine. But overall college is good with an awesome hostel life. Placement cell should try to get some more offers for students to get a good job. Even there needs to be some practical exposure in subjects so that the subjects are better understood. Even the labs should provide some more equipments.

Infrastructure is good. Hostels are very good. At present, construction work is going on for the extension of hostels and there is a plan for a class room complex too(it also in progress). Electrical Engg. Dept. has a good number of faculty members. There are many clubs, the most active being the IEEE Students' Chapter. Institute Gathering(IG) is the is most enthusiastic event of this insititute. It takes place every year in January and witnesses a clash between all the depts. in sports, cultural and literary events. Placements are good in CSE dept.(high package). For other depts also placements are good but they dont have that much high package as that of CSE.. College life is always about how you mould yourself learning from others and finding your interests and executing them well. Enjoy.. :)

Batch of 2016 | B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering
VNIT is the best thing that can possibly happen to me. It was the first time i got to move out of my house and live on my own. It was adventurous since Day1 in college. It teaches us so many things right from maintaining self-discipline, handling immense pressure, keeping a foresight on our ambition along with having fun with the juniors, batchmates, seniors and professors. With immense networking within the hostels, we got to know the struggles involved in every person's life. Most importantly, in VNIT, we are taught to live through our decisions to the end. Right from choosing the ur subjects to choosing ur project partners. There were times when once u topped in a certain semester and eventually in the next semester barely pass through the exam. It also taught me to set my priorities right. But when in college, students tend to loose their confidence. It was the case with me too! Now, as i am pursueing my higher studies, i can clearly witness that i have a certain edge over other students both with respect to my technical knowledge and moral attitude. It was tough hence it was worth it.

Its a great feeling to be a part of this esteemed institute. With beautiful infrastructure and strong faculty team, this college qualifies as a top level NIT. Projects under professors and various industries associated with the college, help students to develop technical and professional skills required in different walks of life. Apart from this, the enthusiastic team of students organise many cultural and technical festivals that add a fun taste in the experience of the college life. VNIT also has a markable placement record. The Alumni Association of VNIT also conducts internship drives to benefit students.

I earlier had no idea of what difference would a college make in my life but life at VNIT defines a completely different journey. Professors here are really helpful. The culture of the college includes various cultural fests , technical fests and entrepreneurship summits. The environment , greenery and campus is really a positive to count before getting into the college. I was quite disappointed when I got to know that there is no swimming pool . The internet speed here is wonderful.

As the title suggest its really a unique life that one lives here. Right from study to sports to innovation to entrepreneurship, one get the right guidance. Its the place where where one find its right path. College fest to real life robots...its a place where one can conquer his dream. Engineering teaches many things apart from engineering and then Vnit has all that in store for anyone. Teamwork, mingling with people across India it right develops one capabilities and personality as a whole and that's more important than anything.

Sports should be played by students in all years.. Infrastructure is okay. .. Wifi should be provided in depts.. Career orientation should be provided.. Industry experience should be made part of curriculum.. Practical learning should be kept in focus.. Greenery on campus should be maintained.. Some faculty members are knowledgeable and inspiring.. Some may not be that good

- The best library, a huge sports ground and begin located in the city makes our college a better place. - We do have guest lectures conducted by few of the top companies and at least one industrial visit organised each year. - The college could not be any more happening than it already it is the best place overall. - It has already allowed our to take up extra initiative to request the companies for internship and placement drive in our college to provide opportunity for all

Discovering the new me

I believe that every student should have an opportunity to believe in oneself and to act upon it. VNIT gives the most wonderful blend of industrial exposure, a taste of what dealing with other people feels like and also having the luxury of a cooler and maybe even your very own room. For me the library was my favourite place, ventilation and classroom cleanliness seems to mean a lot for us, however we are pretty sweet towards dogs and cats! There is a very involved student mentor and faculty advisor organization making your first year and also the years ahead of you with someone dependable to move towards. The alumni association also is actively involved in providing internship opportunities and its motto most definitely could be "doors always open to those interested". In my opinion its better to have room mates in first year so that you don't tend towards being the recluse you turn out to be especially after jee exams!

Firstly, it offers a nice environment, good teaching facilities and lab facility, great infrastructure, average food, good placement support, full hostel facility too. Students in the first and the second year have four in one rooms and third and forth year students have single occupancy rooms. We have fast internet facility and tight security.

1) Brilliant teaching 2) Elaborate course work 3) Diverse crowd 4) Lot of college festivals and activities to keep one busy all year The teaching is excellent and only if one concentrates in the classes you will know that. There are a lot of groups working on wide range of project and robotics and other stuff which you can benefit from only if you are actively participating in things you like.

Exclusive pieces of infrastructure : It has sufficient infrastructure for all the stuffs going on in the college. To enhance corporate exposure our college has a club called E-cell which helps the students to inculcate values related to that sector. My college life so enjoyable as my college provide good opportunity to take part in different events which is very exciting.

Best college in Central India

Batch of 2018 | B.Tech Computer Science Engineering
Placements : Placements are quite good, companies start coming for recruitment from the beginning of the year, and many get placed in their 7th semester. Till the end of 7th semester, about 45-55% of the final years are placed with a good package. The job offers have salaries ranging from 6 lac to 15 lac per year, with an average of about 8 lac per year. Till now companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley, Fidelity Investments, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Reliance Industries, Barclays, L&T, Ashok Leyland, HSBC, Varroc, Tata Motors, Wipro, Maruti Suzuki, Qualcomm and many others. The roles that are offered are mainly based on their academic performance and department. Same companies also hired interns from the third year, and till the end of their 5th semester about 30-35% students get their internship. The stipend vary from 5k to 40k per month, and even 75k in some cases. Infrastructure : Being an Institute of National Importance, infrastructure is obviously going to be good. All classrooms and lab are well equipped with all required facilities. Though Wi-Fi is not available throughout the campus, but Wi-Fi zones can be found throughout the campus. The library is well managed with thousands of books and many other resources. Sports, medical and games facilities are all good, there is an indoor stadium as well. Canteen food is average, but mess food is good in quality, variety of items are being cooked and nutritional values are being taken care of. The internet facility is excellent, and has a good speed everywhere in the campus. Faculty : Faculty is excellent, all possessing good degree and high qualification. They are helpful, understanding and also motivating. Teaching is done both by explaining on blackboard and presentations, depending on the requirements. Student to faculty ratio about is 1:18 per semester. For branches like Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Metallurgy and Mining the industry exposure is quite good. Course curriculum is designed in a good way taking in consideration the prerequisites of a subject and also the order in which they should be taught. Updates are been done every year to make a course better than before and feedback is taken at the end of every semester. Other Details : The institute has been consistently ranked among the best fifteen engineering colleges in India and also in the top 3 NITs (National Institute of Technology). Indian Institute of Management Nagpur will be temporarily located within the campus of VNIT Nagpur till it moves to its own campus of approx. 200 acres in about 9 years time. IIIT(Indian Institute of Information Technology) Nagpur is being mentored by VNIT. There's much more interesting about this college and it can be found on it's website and wikipedia as well.
