It depends upon the company criteria only that a student from mtech in electrical engineering can sit for placement in a software comapany or not . If the company allows then you can definetely sit for the placement for that particular software company . The college has nothing to do with it . If you have a basic or advanced knowledge about programming then the company will even give you a good salary package .
