Eligibility Criteria:

(a)Nationality and Age:

• Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India.
  
• Should have attained the age of 16 + on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held .
  

(b)Qualifying Examination:

• Passed in Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern ) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS.
  
• International Baccalaureate (IB) A-level with Physics,  chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects in any International schools within India.
  
• For Ramapuram, Vadapalani, Sonepat and NCR, Delhi campuses : Minimum 50% aggregate in PCM
  
• For Kattankulathur campus : Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM
  

(c) Direct Admission:

Admission Criteria:

For majority of the programs, admission is done through National level entrance examination conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) or authorized /statutory boards or agencies. For few programs, admission is done directly. In addition to the above, the eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination as well.

Any Candidate qualified in IIT JEE Main/SAT will be admitted directly even if the candidate doesn't take SRMJEEE.

The eligibility criteria clearly mentions that 50% aggregate in PCM. That means your total board marks must be 50% or above to be eligible for admission into SRM,Haryana or SRM,Sonepat Campus.

SRM University eligibility officially for 4 year and 5 year courses is as folows :-

• For admission to UG courses, candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent in relevant stream from a recognized board with an aggregate of at least 50% marks.
• For Admission to Integrated courses, a candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with minimum marks of 50% in aggregate.

This means you need aggregate of 50%in PCM not mandatory to be in each subject.
