Because you have a B.SC background, it will be difficult for you to study and grasp the courses in a ME/M.Tech programme. Furthermore, you cannot simply stop after finishing your M.Tech; you must pursue a PhD as well. If you have a B.SC and wish to continue your education, M.SC is the way to go.
