Hello there,

Based on your 87.6 percentile in JEE Main and 950 marks out of 1000 (95%) in IPE , admission to the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) program at SASTRA University, Thanjavur is competitive but not guaranteed .

Admission Criteria at SASTRA University

SASTRA University offers admissions through two streams:

  1. Stream 1 (70% of seats) : Based on a combined score of JEE Main marks (25% weightage) and 12th board marks (75% weightage).

  2. Stream 2 (30% of seats) : Based solely on 12th board marks.

    Estimated Combined Score

For Stream 1 , your combined score would be:

  • JEE Main Score : Assuming your percentile translates to a score of approximately 87.6% of 300, which equals to 263 .

  • 12th Board Marks : 95%

Combined Score = (0.25 × 263) + (0.75 × 95) = 65.75 + 71.25 = 137

Cutoff Trends for CSE at SASTRA

Recent data indicates that the cutoff for CSE in Stream 1 typically ranges between 600 and 800 rank in JEE Main.  With your combined score of 137 , your rank might be higher than the typical cutoff range, making admission to CSE challenging.
