For OC category candidates there is no such reservation in with respect to admission in the colleges.So based upon your rank it is not possible to get admission in IITs/NITs for IT branch.You shuould apply for the other private colleges participating and not wait for the cutoff rounds of NIts and IITs.

Getting IT branch in the top NITs and IIITs with this rank will be diffocult for you as you belong to general category. However, if you are solely focused on IT branch then you can go for the newer NITs and IIITs where you might have a chance of getting a branch of your choice you can also try for the north-eastern NITs.
