SRM University is one of the best private engineering colleges in India. SRM main campus situated in Potheri, Chennai has a very good infrastructure which can accommodate a large number of students. At SRM University students are from all over the country. Taking ABOUT the Hostel and mess, so I must say SRM has a very goods Hostel facilities And mess food is also good. The college is very strict regarding ragging And strick actions are taken. SRM is the very Safe for girls too. Talking ABOUT the placement that is also good.

Look specify the stream! For which are you asking for! But when it comes to SRM, I think you are taking about B. TECH. So along those colleges SRM UNIVERSITY is best for btech if you are getting the Ktr campus. SRM UNIVERSITY comes under the tier 2 colleges. So, you can get the opportunities is huge way & if you get the CSE or IT branch & if you will be in the top 25% students of your class, then you can grab a handsome package above 6 Lacs otherwise it will be in between 3-4.5 Lacs.

1.Much Better placement for all branches  in SRM compared to Christ.
2.Strong Brand name across south India as an engineering school.Christ is better known for the Bach of Commerce and other management programs.
3.SRM engineering branches are ABET accredited.(American engineering Accreditation) making transfer of credits easier.
4.Semester abroad pr0gram and college funded research projects are higher both quantitatively and qualitatively.
5.Lastly SRM Alum which graduated in the early 90's have done well for themselves.Hence 30 yr old SRM is slighltly better in comparison to a relatively new course at Christ University
