Vellore Institute of Technology is often considered as one of the best technical universities in India. Biotechnology is a combination of biology and technology. You can view the syllabus in http://vit.ac.in .
Placements in VIT are quite good because a large number of companies come to VIT for campus recruitments. For biotechnology, placement is average. Most biotech students prefer for higher studies.
