In 2013, for Open Category , the closing rank for your destined branch was about 2700–2800 { for Homestate} & 1300 around { for Other State }. For OBC , it was around 10,000 { for Homestate } & around 4000# { for Otherstate candi’s }. For SC-ST , rank goes subsequently lower.
In 2014, the CML ( Common Merit List ) closing rank was around 1100 for Homestate and about 350 Rank for Otherstate. For OBC, the Closing rank was around 3800 for Homestate & 1150 around for OtherState people. For SC, closing rank was 29,000 around for Homestate and 33–35,00 for Otherstate.
In 2015, in case of Open Category , the closing rank was about 2,800 for Homestate and around 600(+) for Otherstate.
In 2016, in case of Open Category , the closing rank was around 2,200 for Homestate and 400 around for Other State. For OBC , around 1500 for Homestate OBC ppl and 150–180 for Otherstate OBC ppl.
If you are aiming for CSE at NIT TRICHY and not having home state advantage then you need to score around 280 plus in JEE MAIN.
