see you did not mention which entrance exam you have applied, however generally in the entrance exams like jee main, kcet or wbjeeb, that is the entrance exams for engineering has no particular pass marks. you will get a score and rank based on your performance. however if your score is good you would get a tier 1 college, like top government college or private college. if score are less there is less chances for good colleges.
