Hello himanshu,

javadpur univesity is among the top colleges from Wb jee so obviously it's cut offs are higher among all the colleges and I must tell you that admissions are entirely based on your rank and not just on your marks and if you're going to ask me what's the difference in them ? certainly there is as the rank depends upon various factors like number of applicants fill the form, number of applicants finally appeared in the exam, number of questions asked in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, performance of the candidate, previous year's cut offs trends availability of seats in the institution. If we look at previous years cut off (as you didn't mention any particular category I am telling you the cut off od the core branches) were like,

architecture- closing rank - 2699

CSE - 84

Civil- 727

ECE - 185

And if we talk about marks to get a rank below 200 you need to score approxly 190-180 marks in the exam

good luck
