Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) formerly known as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering (VRCE) was established in the year 1960. The institute is one of the 31 NITs in the country. After the conversion of the institute to VNIT in the year 2002, it was declared as an Institute of National Importance by National Institutes of Technology, Act 2007. The
VNIT Admission
is based on the marks scored in national level entrance examinations.
