MHTCET is an entrance exam , conducted every year to get admission in around 342 institutes across the state ( Maharashtra) in Btech/ BE programs. To be eligible you must have atleats 50% in 10+2 with the mandatory subjects, if you are from general category otherwise 45% is enough. Also, the cutoff of MHTCET varies every year depending on different factors such as no. of candidates appeared, difficurty level etc. But you must have atleast 40-50% to pass MHTCET.

In order to  get admission  in top private/ government colleges, the candidates must  have  a rank below 40,000 in  MHT CET  . Candidates with 70  percentile  in the  entrance  exam are expected to  get  a rank 40,000 or above. The candidates must note that the rank range may vary  for MHT CET  2020.
