NIT admission depends on Home state quota/ Other state quota and category. It would be tough to tell you the exact as the cutoff varies every year. As per 2017 the cutoff rank of SVNIT Surat for Electrical Engineering Opening rank was 3466 and the closing rank was 13759 as a General category Other state quota.

for NIT, you have score rank under 6k for take admission branch like chemical etc.

if you want good branch like CE, CS, ME then your general rank in jee main is under 5000.

and for electrical engineering your rank should be under 4800.
