Hi aspirant,

To prepare well for the MET exam , use a planned approach .

  1. Begin by completely studying the test structure and syllabus .
  2. Make a well-structured timetable to devote enough time to each subject , prioritizing weaker areas and periodically updating strong ones .
  3. Importantly, practice extensively using mock exams and previous years' papers to improve speed , accuracy , and time management , as the MET is frequently described as a speed-based exam with a mix of MCQs (with negative marking) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) problems (with negative marking).
  4. Finally, to keep intellectually and physically alert, stick to a balanced schedule that includes enough rest and proper nutrition .

Dear student,

To crack MET, start by understanding the exam format—it’s an online test with questions from Maths, Physics, Chemistry , and English , all based on the Class 12 syllabus . You’ll have 2 hours to finish.

NCERT books should be your foundation. They cover most of what you need. Once you’re confident, move on to other reference books for extra practice.

Make a simple study plan that gives time to all subjects. Focus more on the topics you find tough, and don’t forget to take short breaks to stay fresh.

Practice as many mock tests and previous papers as you can. This will help with speed, accuracy, and time management. After each test, review your mistakes and work on weak areas.

Make quick notes and formula sheets while studying. Use them for revision later—it saves time and helps retain key concepts.

Lastly, stay calm and confident. A steady routine, proper rest, and regular practice are your best tools to score well in MET.

Hello Rakshitha,

These are some tips that you can consider when preparing for Manipal Entrance Test (MET):

  1. Know the Exam Pattern: Important subjects to focus on are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (or Biology), and English. You may also want to know the marking scheme and time limits.
  2. Follow books In the Beginning: Books of Classes 11 & 12 are very important, especially for core ideas in Physics and Chemistry.
  3. Practice MET Sample Papers: It is very important to solve past year papers as well as practice MET mock tests to get acquainted with the online pattern as well as improve speed.
  4. Manage your time: Set daily target/s and plan a timetable for your preparations. Make sure you allocate time for all subjects, including revision.
  5. Clear Your Concepts: Prioritize understanding the formulae and concepts logically rather than memorizing them, especially in subjects like Physics & Mathematics.
  6. Revise Regularly: It is important for your memory retention to revise at least once on a weekly basis in all subjects concepts, key formulae, definitions and methodsion.

To crack MET (Manipal Entrance Test), you should begin by revising NCERT concepts (Physics, Chemistry and Maths). Do specific mock tests of MET as the exam is timed. Management of time is importance, therefore, practice solving within the shortest time possible but with precision. Recwrite formulas, create short notes, and practice topic-wise. English and logical reasoning also count, so don -t neglect them! Establish a studying schedule, and be regular. Proper study and frequent mock testing will increase your score and confidence. best of luck
