Most colleges or institutes offering the program admit candidates based on skills and performance in a relevant entrance exam, often followed by a round of personal interview, wherein their general aptitude for the program is tested. Admission process basically varies across institutes and colleges.

Some institutes provide direct admission based on the applicant performance at the 10+2 level. Asian Institute of Health Sciences, Hindustan College, Oasis Institute of Health Sciences & Research Centre, School of Health Sciences and Sharda University are few such institutes.

Following are a fewentrance teststhat are conducted by some of the B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology colleges in India:

JEE-MAIN: All India Engineering Entrance Examination

AICET: All India Common Entrance Test

JEE-ADVANCED: IIT Joint Entrance Examination

JNU: Engineering Entrance Exam
