Inorder to get in the top private elite engineering institute of India. You need to be enough conceptually sound such that you can easily able to score good marks in the entrance examination conducted by BITS every year which is also called as BITSAT and by  byhearting the concept doesn't make you to eligible  for crack the examination. So better try to focus more on the concept learning rather than byhearting them.
