Hello student,

To prepare for MBBS admission through the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) , follow these steps:

1. Understand the NEET Exam Structure:

  • Subjects : Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology)
  • Total Questions : 200 questions (180 to attempt)
  • Total Marks : 720 (4 marks for each correct answer, -1 for each wrong answer)
  • Syllabus : Follow NCERT syllabus for classes 11th and 12th.

    2. Create a Study Plan:

  • Daily Schedule : Allocate 6–8 hours daily for study, focusing on Biology as it holds the maximum weightage (50% of the exam).

  • Subject-wise Plan :

    • Biology : 90 questions (focus on NCERT textbooks for a strong foundation)
    • Chemistry : 45 questions (split between Physical, Organic, and Inorganic)
    • Physics : 45 questions (focus on conceptual understanding and numerical problems)

      3. Books to Refer:

  • Biology : NCERT (11th & 12th), Trueman's Biology

  • Chemistry : NCERT, Modern’s ABC of Chemistry, O.P. Tandon (Physical & Organic Chemistry)

  • Physics : NCERT, H.C. Verma (Concepts of Physics), D.C. Pandey (Objective Physics)

    4. Practice with Mock Tests & Previous Papers:

  • Mock Tests : Take regular mock tests to improve time management and accuracy.

  • Previous Year Papers : Solve at least 10–15 years of previous NEET papers for pattern understanding.

    5. Join Coaching or Online Platforms:

  • Coaching Institutes : Consider joining coaching institutes like Aakash, Allen, or any reputable NEET prep platform if you need guidance.

  • Online Platforms : Use online platforms like Unacademy, Byju's, or YouTube channels for free or paid resources.

    6. Regular Revision:

  • Revise consistently. Make short notes for quick revisions, especially for Biology and Chemistry formulas.

    7. Focus on Weak Areas:

  • Identify your weak subjects or chapters and give extra time to them.

    8. Health and Rest:

  • Maintain a healthy diet, sleep 7–8 hours, and take short breaks to refresh your mind.

    9. Time Management in Exam:

  • Practice solving questions within the time limit to develop speed and accuracy.

By focusing on the NEET syllabus, practicing mock tests, and following a structured approach, you'll improve your chances of clearing NEET and securing an MBBS seat.
