IMT Hyderabad, like many other top B Schools now, has a different approach for selection. A high CAT score not necessarily always indicate a true potential managerial candidature.

Please note that CAT / XAT cut off primarily depends on the relative pool of applications. Last year it was somewhere around 55 - 60 percentile. But one needs to understand that the Test scores (CAT/XAT/GMAT) are meant for just qualifying for evaluation.

Though, IMT Hyderabad accepts scores and percentiles of CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT, yet there isn't much variation in the cutoffs of the different tests. The cutoff in the past few years has been around 70 percentile in either of the tests taken up by the candidates.
There is no criteria of sectional cutoffs.
However, it would be good enough if you achieve 85+ percentile to strengthen your chances of conversion over the others.
What is plus factor is your academic diversity which at this point of time, plays a very significant role in final merit list preparation.
